It has been reported that Emilia Clarke will be playing the iconic Sarah Conner in the Terminator reboot entitled Terminator: Genesis. It's quite ironic that her son John Conner, who is rumored to be played by Jason Clarke (no relation), is several decades older than her. The search came down to two actresses for the role of Sarah Conner: Emilia Clarke and Brie Larson, which Clarke managed to win.
Emilia is known for her role as Daenerys Targaryen on HBO's hit show Game of Thrones. The only other project Clarke has done since then is a 2013 crime drama/black comedy called Dom Hemingway.
The only other known actor to be apart of the Terminator: Genesis project is Arnold Schwarzenegger. His returning role is still unknown at this point. It has been rumored for some time that he will play the role of the man the T-800 cyborg was designed after, which would probably do his 66-year-old body some good.
The movie is being directed by Alan Taylor, who just recently directed Thor: The Dark World as well as various TV shows including Oz, Rome, Deadwood, The Sopranos, Boardwalk Empire, and Game of Thrones, just to mention a few of them.
